Children live in a hurry-up world of busy parents, pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls, and competitive sports. Yoga can help counter these pressures. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfilment, they can navigate life’s challenges with a little more ease.
Yoga with children offers many possibilities to exchange wisdom, share good times, and lay the foundation for a lifelong practice that will continue to deepen.
In an endeavour to catch them young and instil lifelong habits of maintaining healthy body and mind, Yoga Day was celebrated on 5th May 2022 at Salwan Montessori School. The children were dressed in comfortable tracksuits and were taught a few age-appropriate yoga asana and poses. The children were equally excited and participated with a lot of zeal and vigor.
