Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them Salwan Montessori School – celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday, 15th October 2022.The function started with welcoming the grandparents by invoking the blessings of the Almighty with a prayer . After this there was a speech by the Headmistress followed by a beautiful song Dada Dadi Ka Pyaar that she sang that left everyone speechless.Then our little ones shared their thoughts and anecdotes about their grandparents.To balance the tones set by the events thus far, a few games were organized, where grandparents participated with great zeal. Teachers performed a short short skit to exhibit the importance of having grandparents in our life, followed by various Dance performances of the tiny-tots, which brought a twinkle in everyone’s eyes. After this, the Headmistress ma’am and the teachers interacted with the guests. Heartfelt sharing was done by the grandparents wherein they appreciated the school and the teachers for all efforts made. The general mood was one of exultation and everyone seemed truly happy.
