Baisakhi, the festival of harvest was celebrated on 13th April 2023 at Salwan Montessori School, with full fervour and gaiety.The school was decorated with beautiful props all around. To mark this day very special, all the students and teachers were dressed up in colourful punjabi attire. A special assembly was conducted which started with a special talk on Baisakhi followed by peppy and foot tapping dance performances on punjabi songs and bhangra by our tiny tots. The teachers also brought the stage alive with their energetic Gidda performance. Children enjoyed eating Punjabi food and making Baisakhi craft. They were also taught the importance of farmers in our life and were enlightened about the harvesting of wheat by taking a wheat crop as a take away to home.It was a fun filled day spent with great zest and zeal.
